I was an FSO and you wouldn't believe how many applicants can't even get those things right. I'll say that for active duty Army JAG, the selection rate is typically in the single digits, so I wouldn't expect a recruiting pitch unless you're coming from Harvard or Stanford (no one comes from YLS, but you probably already guessed that lol).
